20 Years of Amplified Clothing

This year marks 20 years since Amplified Clothing embarked on a journey to bridge the gap between music and fashion, offering fans a tangible way to showcase their allegiance to their favourite bands with our cool licenced graphic tees. As we celebrate this milestone, it's fitting to pay homage to the first three original tees we sold, each representing a pillar of rock and roll history.

We also pay homage to musicians who made it possible for us to showcase our range tees to all music lovers who love to express themselves.

Just like 20 years ago each tee featured the signature roll-back sleeves to evoke a vintage style look and lived-in feel.

MUSIC OF 2004

To jog your memory, check out what happened in music during 2004.

2004 also saw the resurgence of rock music, with bands like Green Day and My Chemical Romance making waves with their high-energy performances and rebellious anthems. Green Day's album "American Idiot" became a cultural phenomenon, addressing themes of political disillusionment and societal alienation with a punk rock sensibility. Hits like "American Idiot" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" resonated with a generation grappling with post-9/11 anxieties and the complexities of the modern world.

One of the breakout acts of 2004 was The Killers, an alternative rock band hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada. Their debut album, "Hot Fuss," catapulted them into stardom and left an indelible mark on the music scene. Songs like "Mr. Brightside" and "Somebody Told Me" became instant classics, with their infectious hooks and anthemic choruses resonating with listeners worldwide. The Killers' blend of synth-infused rock and frontman Brandon Flowers' charismatic stage presence helped them carve out a niche in the industry and cement their status as one of the defining bands of the era.
