Amplified welcomed hard edged rock legends AC/DC to British shores for their 2009 tour with a competition organized in collaboration with NME. The 2 lucky winners grabbed 2 tickets to AC/DC’s opening London show at the O2 Arena and the 5 runners up received some Amplified t-shirts.

Amplified has been inundated with entries; here is what Magnus and Torsten, the winners of the tickets told us about their amazing night…

“The gig was absolutely amazing! They played all the old great stuff like Back in Black, Highway to Hell, Whole Lotta Rosie, TNT, The jack and For Those To Rock. My expectations weren’t so high as I normally don’t like huge venues like the O2 but we had the best seats just next to the stage and the sound was totally brilliant! It turned out to be one of the best gigs I have ever seen. This didn’t sound one bit like a bunch of ageing rockers but like a band in their prime! The boys still got it! Amplified has collaborated on the launch of the film “Who Killed Nancy” by producing the official t-shirt. Sold in cinemas showing the film (cult Buzzcocks guitarist Steve Diggle did a special set before one of the screenings), the t-shirt has already been adopted by Sam Taylor Wood, Natalie Appleton and Liam Howlett.

The film was released on Friday February 6th and 70% of the cinemas showing the films are already sold out…..
