David Bowie is on tour in 2008/2009!!
To celebrate, Amplified Clothing are giving you the chance to win the Bowie Earthling Box Set plus Limited Edition Santa Monica Vinyl.
The Santa Monica t-shirt
A distressed print inspired by his electric concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium back in October 1972. Designed to celebrate the long awaited re-release of the legendary album of the same name, the design incorporates his name along with the tour detail and a print of a ticket stub.
And the Amplified Classics…
Space Oddity was the first record on which David Bowie looked and sounded like the Bowie whom the world has come to know. This Amplified tee pays tribute to the iconic piece of work, which is embellished with reflective chainmail for a totally unique look.

Amplified, known for their vintage, rock inspired t-shirts, have designed this stylish collection celebrating the best of Olympic logos and here’s your chance to buy the entire set, dating from the 50s to the 80s. The graphics, especially the ones from the 60s and 70s, are retro yet surprisingly modern and make an interesting comparison against the current 2008 Beijing logo.
Here’s some background around our favourite designs.. also very useful to know should a question arise in your logo pub quiz questioning the inspiration behind these iconic designs.
Lake placid 1980: The 1980 Winter Games, New York. Apparently the chevrons on the right represent the mountains around the Olympic region.
Montreal 1976: The logo is made up of the Olympic rings mounted on an Olympic podium, which is also the graphic interpretation of the letter M, the initial of Montreal.
Whether you have an eye for a great t-shirt or you’re one of the genuine fans who will work tirelessly this summer to skive off work in order to watch and support the super-fit sporting elite, this collection will definitely be one of your wardrobe staples this August..
