ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Johnny Cash is a singer and songwriter from Arkansas who is famous for his iconic blues style of country music and his deep voice. His best known work includes the songs I Walk The Line, Folsom Prison Blues, Ring of Fire, and his cover of Nine In Nails' song Hurt. He also became known for playing many free concerts in prisons. He has been credited for inspiring many artists such as Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. Amongst many others, Johnny Cash received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999. His music spanned many genres, and Johnny Cash was inducted into the Country Music, Gospel Music, and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, as well as the Rockabilly Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Johnny Cash has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and he inspired the film Walk the Line.
