The Stone Roses Back in action!

Yes…it’s true! The kings of Madchaster The Stone Roses have reformed!

Revealed last Tuesday at a hotel in London (oddly), the gossip and hearsay that has been flooding cyberspace was finally confirmed by the guys themselves.

Admittedly we never thought we’d see that day but after many heart racing rumours through the years which were sadly dismissed after getting all our hopes up, our pleads and prayers have finally been answered!

Not only are The Stone Roses finally back from a 15 year hiatus, but they have also announced 3 nights reunion gigs in Manchester which had already proven to be a huge success!

In total, today fans snapped up a massive 225,000 tickets for the three mega-concerts in June next year at Heaton Park in Manchester, with the first two shows selling out in just 14 minutes! Pretty impressive!

For those not in the know, The Stone Roses were or well…are regarded as being one of the most influential alternative rock bands of the 90′s. Formed back in 1983 in Manchester, the foursome flooded the charts with classic hits such as ‘Fools Gold’, ‘Love Spreads’ and ‘I Wanna Be Adored’ which truly defined a generation and genre.

At the height of their success, their gig in front of 30,000 fans at Spike Island near Widnes, Cheshire, at the end of May 1990 is regarded by many as one of the most important moments in British rock.

We for one couldn’t be happier with all this exciting news and truly cannot wait to see how the guys get on and if they can revive some of the magic that made them who they are back in the day. As far as we can see, this looks like a ‘Resurrection’ to end all ‘Resurrections’!

Celebrate in style!
