The Beatles products from Amplified

Today at Amplified HQ we are playing tribute to the most successful band to have ever graced the earth – The Beatles. This week bears heavy significance for the iconic band for many reasons, including the premier of The Beatles cartoon series on ABC TV in 1965. The pilot episode, ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ pictured the animated band on the ocean floor meeting a lovesick octopus. Rad, hey?

Also on this date in both 1967 and 1969, ‘Beatlemania’ hit the studio, with the fab four recording ‘The Fool on the Hill’ at the infamous Abbey Road, London and ‘Cold Turkey’ with Eric Clapton, respectively.

So ‘Come Together’ and join us in putting on your favourite Beatles style and saluting the fab four!

The Rolling Stones

As one of the biggest and best rock bands of all time, these guys really changed the face of music for generations with their unique sound and amazing stage presence.
This infamous foursome have brought us such all time classics including, ‘Sympathy For The Devil’, ‘Angie’, ‘Paint it Black’ and ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking’ to name just a few. The Rolling Stones truly are one of the best things to come from our little island in the Atlantic selling more than 200 million albums world wide!

cult music and fashion brand Biba relaunches this week

The 1960′s fashion department store that attracted the likes of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles is today relaunched by high street department store House of Fraser in London and tomorrow the collection will be available nationwide. The label achieved iconic status as a cult brand for music and fashion lovers because of its associations with a bohemian lifestyle.
