Lady Gaga replies to dress

Monday, September 20th, 2010

The monster lover Lady Gaga laughs off the whole meat dress during the VMA awards. She said that it’s not  a big fuss and its no different to wearing leather….

“What’s everyone’s big problem with my meat dress?” she asked. “Haven’t they seen me wear leather? Next time I’ll wear a tofu dress and the soy milk police will come after me.”

What do you think of Miss Gaga’s reply ?

What did you think of Lady Gaga’s meat dress: Awesome, disgusting, or both?

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

Well… lets start with a fun fact: SHE DIDN’T INVENT THE MEAT DRESS!  Shocking, I know.. Canadian artist Jana Sterbak did, but the singer certainly turned heads at the MTV video Music Awards, donning 50 pounds of beef for her outfit, complete with a meat hat, heels and purse.

She says her statement was a political one, meant to prove she’s ‘not a piece of meat’, Some have defended the singer, arguing the bold wardrobe choice falls in line with everything Gaga does. Animal activists, though, are outright disgusted by the move. (Even butchers have weighed in.)

Care to share your 2 cents? As an Amlified fan what do you think? Where’s the line between offensive and effective? Has Gaga gone too far?
