Kasabian front man Tom Meighan ‘will win an Oscar one day’

Fans have been coming to terms with the fact that they won’t be able to see Kasabian perform live again until after the band have recorded their next album. Ever since they entertained crowds at V Festival last weekend Kasabian have given their fans further band related chat as guitarist Serge Pizzorno has spoken of his band mates potential as an actor pointing out that he turned down a role in the 2006 Sofia Coppola film Marie Antoinette.

Kasabian give ‘send off party’ headline set at V Festival

Kasabian closed last nights V Festival at Chelmsford with what will be their last performance before they go into hibernation to produce their fourth album. The band told NME that as the show was their last before recording it acted as a send off party for their current release West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. Their set was the same as the previous headline slot the night before at the Highlands Park site.

Kasabian guarantee V Festival punters the night of their year with ‘rave’ headline slot

As part of an exclusive interview on gigwise.com Kasabian guitarist Sergio Pizzorio promises that the bands performances at this coming weekends V Festival will be one of the best nights out punters have had all year. The band play Weston Park in Staffordshire on Saturday and Hylands Park in Chelmsford on Sunday and ‘want to give people something to celebrate’. As part of their warm up they are playing a gig at Brixton Academy tomorrow evening (Aug 19th)

Kasabian front man sings lead vocals on new single from another Leicester band

Leicester band The Lysergic Suite were lucky enough to have Kasabian front man Tom Meighan volunteer to sing on their new single. NME.com reported last week that after hearing demo tracks from the bands album Meighan asked ‘why haven’t you asked me to sing on it?’  The bands regular singer and guitarist Gren Spencer said it was one of his ‘proudest moments ever’. The single ‘Ghosts on Crusade’ is available for download and is the title of their EP which was released back in June.
