Blondie drummer Clem Burke recently told billboard.biz that the band has recorded tracks for a new album Panic of Girls which they plan to bring out in the UK and America in 2011. It will be the first release from the band since their 2003 album The Curse of Blondie and by comparison has a lot less production on it. Burke told Billboard that the band ‘tried to make the recording process as organic as possible and tried to stay away from programming as much as we could, because [The Curse of Blondie] had a lot of programming on it’. This year see’s the band celebrating the 30th anniversary of their 1980 platinum record Autoamerican.
