Hot on the heels of the US leg of the tour British rock legends The Who are soon to embark on a 12 date arena tour of the UK and Europe, and we can’t wait.  Considered one of the greatest, most influential, and awarded recording groups in the world The Who are innovative both musically and technically. Founding members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will be joined on stage by Zak Starkey, Pino Palladino, and Simon Townshend. They will perform their iconic 1973 double album Quadrophenia in its entirety, along with a selection of other greatest hits.

The Stone Roses – Made of Stone

After the release of the official trailer we’re more than a little bit excited for the highly anticipated documentary THE STONE ROSES: MADE OF STONE, about one of our favorite, legendary Manchester bands! It’s set to hit cinema screens in the UK on June the 5th after the  premiere on 30th May in Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse.  The band are planning rare public appearance alongside director Shane Meadows and producer Mark Herbert.  The premier will be broadcast live in 100 cinemas nation wide.

In the film Meadows documents what happened behind the scenes during the bands 2012 reunion, including footage from their awesome hometown Heaton Park shows.

Festival fashion made simple

After the last few weeks, we think it’s safe to say that festival season is in full swing! Whether you have been lucky enough to grace Victoria Park for the marathon of festivals it has showcased (Field Day, Lovebox and most recently BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend), scathe with jealousy at the footage on the television or even just register for your Glastonbury 2013 ticket (364 days away exactly, not that we’re counting!) you were probably involved in the festival hype somehow!

Along with the music itself, we’ve also been watching to see which outfits appear on stage and have noticed a definite trend emerging – rock t-shirts paired with eclectic denim shorts, the definitive festival staple.

If you want to follow the stylish footsteps of Lana Del Rey, Jessie J and Tinie Tempah get yourself over to Pulp’s Amplified collection and bag your own rock tee. Layer under a khaki or leather jacket and wear with your best denims – festival fashion, done!

Celebs rock Amplified

It’s been a wicked few months at Amplified HQ as celebrity after celebrity has stepped out in our effortlessly cool designs. From pop superstar Rihanna to A-list offspring Cruz Beckham, the industry elite has been rocking our iconic tees.

The Saturdays’ Una Healy started off the recent wave of Amplified celeb fans, sporting two different designs in just a few days. Since then, Cher Lloyd has rocked her Amplified Rolling Stones tee on the red carpet, as well as The Wanted as they performed to a packed arena, One Direction’s Harry Styles on his 18th birthday, Katie Piper in a primetime TV documentary and, of course, edgy –cool pop sensation Rihanna tweeted a picture of herself in our John Lennon design as she got a new inking.

Our most recent celeb fans come in a much smaller form as Cruz Beckham followed in his daddy’s footsteps (that’s David) and rocked a cool Pink Floyd Amplified tee, and Brad and Angelina’s daughter Shiloh teamed our iconic Ramones logo tee with cargo pants as she walked the dogs with her siblings.

We wonder who’ll be the next star to rock Amplified?

Amplified’s 2011 Press Day!

Back again and bigger and better!

Kick starting in the early London hours last wednesday, the Amplified team set to work once again setting the scene for another chance to show of all new designs, shapes and styles that will be working their way to you in the coming weeks.

Taking place in one of our favourite spots in London’s Hackney known as The Depository (or ex Drangon’s Den studio to you and me), the smell of excitement for a new era was in the air once more.
