It has been revealed that art house film director Jim Jarmusch is working on a new documentary film about the life and career of his good friend Iggy Pop. The film will feature exclusive and revealing interviews as well as rare archive footage of the musician. The pair have worked together previously on the directors 2003 film Coffee and Cigarettes however this time round it was Iggy Pop that asked Jarmusch to take control of the project. Speaking to Pitchfork Jarmusch explains how the film is ‘going to take a few years. There’s no rush on it, but it’s something that Iggy asked me to do.’
